How often should I see the dentist?

Every 6 months for routine care. Patients with gum concerns may benefit from more frequent visits - we’ll tailor that to you.

What happens during my initial visit?

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms, and take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then, the doctor will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions that you may have. One of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth, checking your teeth and gums for any cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.

Should I be concerned if my gums are bleeding?

Yes - bleeding gums can signal the early stage of gum disease (gingivitis). Addressing it early means we can reverse it. If left untreated, it may progress to advanced periodontitis, potentially leading to bone or tooth loss.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

If you experience a dental emergency, call our office immediately. Our team will assess the severity and decide if you need to come in the same day.
